Abstract

Mathematics as subject matter has abstract object characteristics, often causes student in elementary school who in the stages concrete operations thinking to have difficulties. One alternative to overcoming mathematics abstract is by developing learning resources that attract students attention, so the material can be delivered and mastered by students thoroughly. This research was conducted with focus on the development E-puzzle media to help students understand abstract flat-build material to be more concrete. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Quasi Experiment method. The aim is to determine the effect of the use of E-puzzle media to improving student learning achievement. The sample uses a random technique by lottery. The results showed that there was an influence of the use E-puzzle to increase student learning achievement in student grade II SDN Gadang 01 Malang City. This can be known based on the value of t arithmetic > t table (2,949 > 1,992) meaning that there are differences in learning achievement between students taught using E-puzzle and not. Through these results expected that elementary school teachers can develop themselves in use and development electronic-based media and teaching aids in their classroom learning.
