Abstract

Right road conditions facilitate the mobilization of the population in carrying out activities every day. During the rainy season, the pavement is submerged by water, which affects the performance, durability, and ability to accept the load on the asphalt. To measure the quality of road works, especially pavement, can now use the laboratory version of the Lightweight deflectometer (LWD) developed by DGH. Lightweight deflectometer (LWD) developed for evaluation of surface stiffness can be used to estimate the degree of compaction and produce modulus of elasticity. This research-based on the laboratory which aims to analyze the effect of asphalt density (AC-WC) on deflection value and modulus of flexibility by using the laboratory version of the LWD and find the correlation between the modulus of elasticity of asphalt on the variation in the Immersion time in which the results of variations of immersion can be concluded the more prolonged the immersion time, the lower the density of the asphalt mixture.
