A Review on Green Supply Chain Management: Impact on to the Sustainable Development Goals

Abstract

Nowadays, the natural environment becomes one of major issues around the world. In 2015, the member of United Nations adopted sustainable development goals (SDGs) as global goals. Whereas, seventeen goals set and two of the goals were related to the climate change and sustainable consumption and production patterns. Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is known as one of the vital strategies to minimize natural environmental issues and maximize sustainability at the same time. The aim of this paper was to review the literatures on the effect of GSCM implementation. There were 103 papers reviewed and 30 papers met the inclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria were implementation of GSCM, trend of GSCM, impact of GSCM on environment, role of GSCM in improving sustainability performance, and sustainable development goals. In conclusion, the review showed the correlation between the GSCM and SDGs especially in environmental field. Therefore, GSCM is a potentially impactful for the SDGs.
