Team Games Tournament for Mathematics Strategy Education Universitas Al Ghifari Abstract The independence of mathematical learning is currently still low and has implications for the low achievement of students. The cause of the low ability of independence of mathematical learning is the lack of activity of students in the learning process. Choosing the right learning strategy can optimize mathematical understanding skills. Based on the background above, this study aims to determine the improvement of students mathematical understanding of learning using the Teams Games Tournament. The subjects of this study were students of the first semester pharmacy study program using experimental research methods. The data processed in this class of research is from the pretest and posttest scores then data processing is performed. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students mathematical comprehension skills in learning using the Teams Games Tournament.
