Android Desmos in Mathematical Reasoning Abilities

Abstract

The purpose of this present study is to find out that Desmos android can improve mathematical reasoning abilities. The method used was an Experiment with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. Research subject is one of the High Schools in Bandung, West Java. This study uses two classes, namely class using android Desmos and control class. The instrument used in the study is a mathematical reasoning ability test. Based on the results of the study stated that the average value of the gain test mathematical reasoning ability of the Desmos class with a value of 0.47 is higher than the control class with a value of 0.38. This means that classes that use Android Desmos have a high increase in reasoning abilities from the control class.
