Maintenance Management of Cultural Heritage School Buildings in Jakarta: An Overview of Indonesia Government Regulation a) Civil Engineering Department, State University of Jakarta Abstract Jakarta, as the capital city of Indonesia, has hundreds of cultural heritage buildings, including schools building. Managers need to apply regulations regarding the maintenance of the heritage school building (HSB) as a preservation effort. The purpose of this study is to review the suitability of the maintenance management of HSB in 1) the Minister of Public Works Regulation No.24 / PRT / M / 2008 concerning Guidelines for Building Maintenance and Repair, and 2) The Manual Maintenance Building Schools’ Book from the Ministry of National Education. The method used in this research is a literature review. Researchers obtain data from various sources, journals, Books, documentation, and regulations relating to the research objectives. The result of the compatibility between Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 24 / PRT / M / 2008 concerning Guidelines for Building Maintenance and Repair and the School Maintenance Guidelines for the Ministry of National Education, is 54.17%. The two regulations do not provide complete information regarding the maintenance management of HSB. The government needs to adjust appropriate regulations related to the HSB as an efforts to protect, develop, and utilize them in order to advance national culture.
