Abstract
Smart cellular phones have been used by teachers, parents, students and students. This study aims to formulate a number of positive cellular phone usage in the learning process and formulate a negative cellular phone use. This research will involve the use of mobile phones in a number of disciplines related to the competency of prospective elementary school teachers in the future. In the preliminary data a number of teachers used App Inventor 2 in programming learning, image processing programs, MuseScore, LMMS, Audacity for music learning, video editors for assignments for video creation, WhatsApp in network learning as an alternative to Moodle, and other potentials such as augmented reality. A number of softwares can be introduced to prospective teachers as part of learning resources or media in schools. The method used is an integration of a qualitative approach with R&D design, which is also integrated with descriptive-intuitive methods, through the process of creation and learning. The R&D design is used to develop learning programs, teaching materials and learning media, while descriptive-intuitive methods are used to systematically draw pictures and learning creates educational products. The results show that not all teachers use cell phones in the classroom in learning. Some teachers forbid their students from using cellphones in class. Even so the majority of teachers have and use cellphones in their daily lives.
