Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the process of development Matlab (Matrix Laboratory) Graphical User Interface as a media learning mathematics to facilitate the study of Statistics material. This research and development uses the ADDIE development model, carried out through five stage of analysis, design, development, implementation (implementation / execution), and evaluation. Validation of Matlab (Matrix Laboratory) Graphical User Interface is carried out by an expert in statistics and two experts in learning media. The subject of the study were students of class VIII at one of the Bandung Public Middle School, West Java. The research instruments were mathematics communication test, questionnaires, and media validation sheets. The result showed that, based on expert validation and limited testing, the development Graphical User Interface Matlab (Matrix Laboratory) was considered to be very good and feasible and improved students mathematical communication skill and that students responded positively. The implications of This study are to facilitate students in communication mathematics by optimizing the use of computer media as a learning tool.
