Abstract
The evolution of technology has influenced many industries and company development. Recently, in industry mobile control systems are widely adopted to providing the plant control for big facilities. Also, for remotely accessing remote telemetry units (RTUs) and the local control systems became a primary requirement. Therefore, in this paper there is present a method for connecting a Programmable Logic Control (PLC) to mobile system using wireless technology. The work starts with designing the interface between PLC and Android, a supervisory PC, a Human Machine Interface (HMI), a smartphone, deciding adapter type RS-232 to Wi-Fi for PLC, and applied the programming for communicate PLC and Android using wireless technology. For controlling PLC through Android application on the PC with Safety Instrumented System (SIS) applied. The connection of PC are connected to Local Area Network (LAN), then to transfer data or connecting each device between PLC and Android system can be done on the same IP Address.
