Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) consists of smart devices, which are able to communicate with each other. Allows the device to receive, send and collect data and process it. One application of IoT is a notification system. The notification system is a combination of software and hardware that can send a message. Usually the message sent is an activity on an account or an object, for example on the garage door. This notification system on the garage door will benefit the general public as a precautionary measure of crime when the user is far away or not around the house. There will be a Twitter sign in with the user name and chat from IFTTT to the Line if there is a break-in. Not only Twitter or Line, other social media can also be a media for this notification system. NodeMcu ESP8266 is selected as an IoT device that will receive signals from WiFi and the switch then processes it, after that sends a signal to the notification server, then sends a notification message to another server that can receive and display the notification. The message sent can be seen in real time through the application on the device that belongs to the user.
