Abstract

Abstract. Ciliwung River and Citarum River which flows almost throughout the City of Jakarta and West Java, this river functions as a drainage channel in Jakarta and West Jaa, but as the population grows on the banks of the Ciliwung River there are many densely populated settlements so that many people build houses -the house up to the river body. This causes flooding every year and submerges residents homes along the riverbanks. For this reason, an arrangement is needed in the flow of the drainage system on the Ciliwung River and river normalization to be able to avoid disasters that will be caused by flooding. In this study, to cope with disasters that occur in the Kemunig River by planning the construction of dikes at winding points to protect the river slopes from scours. The method of division that will be used is by using the Thiessen polygon method by drawing a line perpendicular to the center line connecting the two stations. The results obtained after direct observation in the field and processing of data related to the Normalization of the Ciliwung River are using the Log Pearson Type III Method.
