Abstract
The Android is an operating system that has evolved into an extraordinary system and is in great demand by smartphone users because it has many advantages. One of the advantages is that Android provides users with very broad access to use applications that are getting better. Android has a set of tools that can be used to help developers improve productivity when building applications that are made. (source: http: //www.android.com.about/) One of the tools is the Android SDK as an API (Application Programming Interface) tool.
Android SDK is needed to start developing applications on the Android platform using the Java programming language. Android is a subset of software for smartphones that includes the operating system, middleware and key applications released by Google. Currently available the Android SDK (Software Development Kit) as a tool and API to start developing applications on the Android platform using the Java programming language (Safaat H: 2011: 5).
Technology of digital communication is developing towards 3D interactive visual communication. Interactive experiences from real-world environments that are enhanced by technology into physical or 3D objects are called Augmented Reality. The characteristics of Augmented Reality can be developed into a learning model as a strategy to overcome the problem of guided training intensity with the interaction of 3D visual communication between lecturers and students. Students can practice more often because it can be done through an Android-based Smartphone Assisted Instruction.
Formulation of the problem in this study: How is the design of 3D learning media applications based on Augmented Reality with the Android SDK?
The purpose of this study is to (1) identify facilities by analyzing the need for 3D micreoteaching applications based on Augmented Reality (2) designing with system design analysis for 3D micreoteaching applications based on Augmented Reality (3) designing programs with programming techniques for Android Microteaching 3D applications based on Augmented Reality .
Metodology of research is the design analysis of system. The results of the research is the Android Program design of Microteaching 3D based on augmented reality learning in the form of validated blueprints.
