Abstract

Determining the classification of materials in management is very important. The ABC analysis used in this study is a method of making groups based on the ranking of values from highest to lowest cost. The ABC analysis is divided into three broad groups called groups A, B, and C. Group A is the most "important" material for the company (fast-moving) for stock material not to be empty, so it needs to be considered better. Group B is a slow-moving item, and Group C is a dead stock category of equipment whose inventory does not need to be too large. Grouping using this principle will help focus more on high-value items (group A) and provide sufficient control for low-value items (group C). Based on the method used for material classification, the results obtained for category A are 43%, category B is 16%, category C is 41%. Companies should pay more attention to category A to maintain material stability in the warehouse.
