Abstract
Comfort between humans and the work environment and equipment is absolutely necessary in order to create maximum productivity. With the creation of comfort this can prevent humans from injury and disorders of the muscles (muscolusceletal disorders). Convenience is something that is absolutely achieved and enhanced so that the results achieved and business activities that occur get maximum results. Business activities with maximum results are not only absolutely needed in the industrial world, but in the world of education it is absolutely necessary so that student achievement can be achieved optimally.
One area of science that studies comfort between humans and their environments is Ergonomics, especially in the Anthropometry sub-field of science.
This research was conducted at the third semester of UMSIDA Industrial Engineering Students (Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo), which consisted of 10 groups and consisted of 40 students. This study aims to analyze the height of college backrest based on student shoulder height.
Data collection methods used are direct. The data taken is Shoulder Height of 40 students.
