Abstract

Manufacturing sector as the third biggest contributors of greenhouse gas emission has worsened the global warming issue. This might be happened because the company did not put a high attention in managing waste that can be found in the form of non-value-added activities and/or wasteful consumption of natural resources. This study was aimed to review some literatures on the application of an environmentally friendly and efficient process approach by integrating Green and Lean Manufacturing. There were 107 papers reviewed and 24 papers met the inclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria were the implementation, advantages, differences, similarities, and impacts of Green and Lean Manufacturing. The results of this study showed that integrating Green and Lean Manufacturing can effectively eliminate wastes and result in reduced global warming impacts.
