Abstract

The pandemic due to the global Covid-19 virus has an impact on the business sector in Indonesia and throughout the world. Of course, the industry most affected by this pandemic is the tourism sector. Therefore, while all other areas can still operate even though they are not as optimal as usual, this sector has started planning business innovation. This study aims to look at the innovations that have been applied to tourism, including innovations, service innovations, security innovations, facility innovations, and environmental innovations on overnight visits and their impact on business performance. This research is a survey research with 45 respondents in the tourism sector, hotels, restaurants or the tourism sector in Garut Regency. The data is processed through descriptive statistics and to test the relationship between variables used by Smart PLS. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that cleanliness innovation, security innovation significantly affect business visits in the tourism sector, and holidays certainly have a strong influence on business performance. It is necessary to innovate, especially the communication process to potential visitors regarding cleanliness, ordering facilities, and excellent service.
