Abstract

Educational Toys-known as Alat Permainan Edukatif or APE in Indonesia-are all things that can be used as tools and material to play that contains educational value and can be stimulating child brain growth and can develop all aspects of child development. The purpose of the research was to find out how educational toys was used in daily early childhood learning in Kelurahan Lopang Kota Serang. This research used qualitative methods, in two Kindergartens in Kelurahan Lopang Kota Serang Banten. This research found that the use of educational toys in the two Kindergarten was not used properly as daily play and learn materials. They just used some of educational toys and the rest of toys was only displayed or stored in shelves and cabinets. Most of the time, teachers exposed children with pencil and paper tasks or worksheet.
