Abstract

Chemistry learning media based on Lectora Inspire has been implemented in teaching at Senior High School 8 Pekanbaru, Indonesia to improve students^ critical thinking ability through the stages of lesson study, such as plan, do, and see with three cycles. The normality of the sample was examined by Shapiro-Wilk test while the hypotheses were tested by the parametric test of Paired Sample T-Test. All of the tests were performed by using SPSS 21.0 program. There were two kinds of data obtained in this study: qualitative and quantitative data. The results of this study found that learning media based on Lectora Inspire for teaching chemical equilibrium could stimulate students^ critical thinking ability. The data revealed that the students^ critical thinking ability were categorized as ^critical^ in cycle I and they increased in cycle II and III with the category ^very critical^. These results were in accordance with the results of observation on the Lesson Study at Do stage, finding that the learning in cycle III was more qualified than learning in cycle II, and the learning in cycle II was better than in cycle I. The value of probability or sig (2 tailed) < 0.05- thus, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This implies that there are differences on the students^ critical thinking ability before and after implementing learning media based on Lectora Inspire through Lesson Study approach on teaching chemical equilibrium. Hence, it is recommended to implement learning media based on Lectora Inspire through lesson study for online learning during and after the Covid-19 pandemic.
