Abstract

In nowadays education and especially in higher degree, disposition is one of several factors which are highly affecting learning process. Purpose of this research is to foster mathematical disposition towards prospective teachers^ through technology approach. POM-QM represents technology embedded for the STEM learning process. The chapter design in this lesson study was designed as the first course, where the instructor emphasizes connections to students^ initial abilities. In the conduct, this lesson study starts with planning the chapter design to embed the technology into learning. Next, the chapter design was implemented to the course. Several observers assigned for each group of students to record every activity and observe the learning process. From the reflection phase and after some adjustment in the second cycle, the chapter design is able to foster students^ interests, contextual awareness, and their appreciation to the topics. Of course, some mathematical dispositions^ indicators such as flexibility and persistence can only be concluded after several conduct. Nevertheless, the design is able to foster students^ mathematical disposition for those chapter. Continuous treatment is needed until the dispositions occurs frequently.
