Kinematics Analysis of Drag push Movement Technique on Ball Speed Results in Indoor Hockey Sports Faculty of Sports and Health Education, Indonesia University of Education Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyse the biomechanical parameters that have a significant effect on the drug push technique so that it can become a specific recommendation for training the drug push movement. Hockey player (n = 12 ages = 19-25) who are at the Indonesian National level and have experience in playing hockey for five years. Three cameras with a specification of 120fps record the drag push motion from the frontal and transverse planes. The parameters taken are ball speed, stride width, drag length, the distance between feet, drag start, drag distance, and drag speed. The collected data were analysed statistically using descriptive statistics and gradual linear regression. The results reveal that drag distance and stance width are the dominant variables for optimizing push-in performance for elite Indonesian indoor hockey athletes. This study produces the following coaching recommendations for improving the performance of the push-in technique: maximizing the distance of the pull by maximizing the distance between the foot and the ball at the start of the push-in- use a combination of simultaneous and sequential segment rotation to optimize ball speed and maximize drag speed.
