Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the impact of the use of conventional exercise periodization on increasing arobic ability. In this study, the increase in aerobic ability will be seen in the percentage level at each training stage, namely the TPU TPK TPP TPUt stage. The method used in this research is an experimental method with the design of One group pretest and posttest by giving treatment to fencing athletes who will face a championship, amounting to 15 people. The increase in vo2 max ability during the training period shows a significant increase, as well as an increase in vo2 max at each training stage both at the TPK TPP and TPUt stages. Seeing these conditions, it is hoped that the coaches will be able to create a conventional training program and understand the doses of training at each training stage, so that they will be able to predict the athlete^s ability before facing the championship.
