Abstract

Achievement of sports achievements in early childhood cannot be separated from the financial support of parents. Especially in little league baseball, parents invest money to help their children grow and develop optimally. However, parents put their hopes and aspirations for their child to become a great Indonesian baseball player. This study aims to determine the condition of the socioeconomic characteristics of the status of parents in little league baseball athletes in West Java. This study used a cross-sectional study method. A total of 16 parents volunteered to complete the Social Economic Status questionnaire via Google Form. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques. The results show that 38.7% of parents in Little League Baseball Athletes are at high level, 61.3% at intermediate level. The socioeconomic condition of the parents^ status in little league baseball athletes who are included in the middle to upper group is one of the advantages so that the training process and fulfillment of training demands can be more optimal. which of course requires qualified financial support.
