Abstract

The introduction in this study is that the status of physical education becomes low in damage due to distrust of physical education itself, and the learning model carried out by the teacher does not develop the potential of students as a whole. The purpose of this study is to provide a new experience for the teacher in applying the learning model and being able to optimally develop the potential of students. The research method used in this study is an experimental method using a 2 X 2 factorial design. The study was conducted at SMP Taruna Bakti, Bandung City. The population is 210 students in grade 1 SMP. While the sample may be 60 people. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The research instrument used was a basketball dribling. The statistical analysis technique used was two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the significance level α = 0.05. The results of the research are 1) Overall, there are differences in learning outcomes between groups of students using the STAD strategy cooperative learning model and groups of students using direct learning models. 2) There is no interaction between the cooperative learning model and motor education on basketball learning outcomes.
