Abstract

Enabling Large-Scale Social Restrictions in Indonesia in early 2020 in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 globally. Distance learning that is enforced by students can cause other problems, such as increased sedentary behavior and obesity. This study aims to analyze the physical activity and nutritional status of West Java students during the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. This research used a cross-sectional study design. The study was conducted 1-2 months after the implementation of Lockdown in West Java. A total of 330 students (39.1% sport study program- 60.9% non-sport study program) volunteered to become respondents to this study, by filling out a questionnaire on Google Form. IPAQ instrument used to determine the level of physical activity and BMI to determine the nutritional status. Data were analyzed using the multinomial regression logistic. A total of 40.6% of students perform at the level of vigorous physical activity, normal nutritional status of students of the department of sport as much as 82.2%, while the non-sporting Prodi 67.7%. The results showed that physical activity had a significant effect on the nutritional status of students (p = 0.021), and what showed a significant effect on the nutritional status of students was the type of study program (p = 0.008, p> 0.05). Models of age, sex, study program, and physical activity had a significant effect on nutritional status, although physical activity did not partially affect them.
