WEARABLE PERSONAL AIR MONITORING FOR SINUSITIS (i-Sinus) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Jl. Dr. Setiabudi No.229, Isola, Kec. Sukasari, Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat 40154, Indonesia. Abstract Sinusitis is an inflammatory disease of the sinus walls. Sinusitis sufferers will have difficulty if the surrounding air conditions are cold, causing nasal congestion, pain, and difficulty breathing. Based on the results of studies in America shows that 35% of Americans suffer from sinusitis. Meanwhile, a study of 57,128 samples in European countries with the help of a questionnaire showed that the prevalence of chronic sinusitis was 19.9% in the age range 15-75 years. Currently, there are not many tools that can help sufferers to prevent symptoms from appearing, sinusitis sufferers are usually given antibiotics and nasal spray suspension to relieve pain due to nasal obstruction, and treatment for acute sinusitis is antibiotic therapy while for those who are chronic antibiotic therapy is not enough. Therefore, to prevent sinusitis sufferers from becoming chronic sinusitis, it is necessary to take preventive measures. One of the preventive actions that can be taken is by using the i-Sinus device. The i-Sinus device is a smart wearable device in the form of a watch that monitors the users surrounding air conditions and monitors the users vital conditions such as heart rate. This device is embedded with an artificial intelligence algorithm that can provide notifications and suggestions to users when air conditions are not ideal. The test results show that when the air conditions are not ideal, this tool will notify the user. The doctor can monitor the condition of the surrounding air and its effect on the condition of the users vital organs. Thus, the combination of wearable technology and artificial intelligence can be developed, not only for sinusitis but also for monitoring human health.
