Implementation Smart Building using Internet of Things (IoT) to Improve The Entrepreneurial Spirit of Creative Industry for UPI Students

Abstract

Development in technology of information today provides various facilities to support human activity. One technology that facilitates human is the use of automated systems, the application of smart home (building) system makes it easier for users to control household electronic devices. Smart building development is a combination of technological development, human resources, infrastructure capital, social capital and entrepreneurial capital which is currently used as part of the creative economy in carrying out creative economic development that refers to 4.0 as an aim. The most important components in the smart building are : technology, people, and institutions. Community service activities in the form of education and training that involve students with a technological background and have an entrepreneurial spirit, to then be trained and fostered into superior and innovative young entrepreneurs. This training produced a number of innovative works in the field of a smart building based on IoT that can be developed to become a service industry that can produce a lot of profit. The innovative work of the training results includes: home-based security on IoT, smart warehouse, smart laboratory and water gate valve based on IoT. The development of creative industries through the field of a smart building based on IoT is expected to be one of the solutions to grow new entrepreneurs from among students who will contribute to the development of the economy and business both national and global.
