Abstract
Green energy power plants are needed to save the planet from carbon dioxide pollution. To build a hydroelectric power plant seems to require a very expensive cost and large water discharge. But in this context, the Electrical Engineering Education Laboratory can build a low-cost hydropower power plant to produce electrical energy in a small scale (pico-hydro) with a capacity of 400W for learning purposes. This research uses descriptive method by observing the water flow in waterways inside UPI campus for the manufacture of the power plant and is associated with the interest of students to study hydro power plant and green energy sources. The benefits of the pico-hydro laboratory can be used by students for learning activities and the practice of small scale green energy power plants (pico hydro). In addition to encouraging students to develop similar power plants in remote areas where Indonesia has a lot of potential water flow for power plants. The conclusion, the Pico Hydro Power Plant lab is very useful for the Electric Power laboratory and is used by students for practical activities and doing the research of the final paper related to hydropower.
