The Role of Research Support System for Study Completion: Students Perspective Didin Wahyudin, Aip Saripudin

Abstract
Although the majority of students can complete lectures in the last semester, many students experience delays in completing their studies. The obstacle is when they do the process of research and thesis writing. After students finishing credits, they do not intensively carry out thesis work for a variety of reasons, so they did not take the priority to work on the thesis. Besides, the supervisor often loses the information of the students because they could not be monitored during the thesis work. To solving the problem, a research support system is needed. This research aims to develop and implement rSys. rSys is a web-based support system to assist all elements involved in the completion of studies. rSys is designed to record, to log, and to track research progress. With these features, all process of research including research proposal submission, research report, and academic writing can be reviewed online; hence thesis writing progress can be comprehensively managed. This paper is to describe the survey to measure students perspective of using rSys to assist study completion. The survey result discover that the majority of student agreed that rSys is benefits for study completion on time.
