Abstract
Widespread transmission of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) which later became a pandemic, encourage the Government of Indonesia to issue a policy on implementing learning prosses (Teaching and Learning Activities) at home by online learning. This research aims to find out: (1) Teachers perception of the effectiveness of online learning which is carried out on the competence of Electrical Power Engineering in the State Vocational School (2) Students perceptions of the effectiveness of online learning carried out on the competence of Electrical Power Engineering in the State Vocational School. This research is a descriptive study with an approach quantitative to analyze data obtained from research. Data collection carried out by observation, and questionnaires / questionnaires. This research was conducted on teachers and students of Electric Power Installation Engineering Skills Competency at State Vocational School. The results showed that (1) Teachers perception of effectiveness online learning on Electric Power Installation Engineering competencies is classified as good, this is evident from the results of the calculation of data analysis overall of all sub-variables that there were 14 respondents out of a total 20 respondents who chose the good category reached 70%. (2) Student perceptions on the effectiveness of online learning in the competence of Installation Engineering expertise Electricity is quite good, this is evident from the results calculation of overall data analysis of all sub-variables that there are 59 respondents from a total of 120 respondents who chose the good category viz reached 49.17%. The results of the study can be used as ingredients and evaluation of the implementation of online learning, teacher and school performance as well readiness for online learning at school and can be made wrong one reference material to further develop the use of information technology.
