Many children and parents complain about online learning, especially parents who have to provide continuous assistance during the pandemic. The purpose of this article is to describe the obstacles that parents face in assisting online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This article uses the literature review method. Based on existing literature, the results of the literature review show that parent face obstacles in assisting online learning include difficulties due to lack of content knowledge and ability in teaching, difficulties in growing childrens learning interest, difficulties in managing schedules and finances, difficulties in accessing online materials and difficulties in getting internet connections. We conclude that parents perceive online learning as difficult and not as good as offline conventional classroom learning at school. However, parents also see that online learning provide more time for the child-parent interactions.
