Abstract

Indonesia is currently faced with the concept of a new life order, namely the 5.0 people-centered and technology-based societies. Even though education in Indonesia is still improving in the era of the 4.0 revolution. Critical thinking skills are one of the characteristics of learning in the 4.0 revolution era. Electronic modules or e-modules are currently one of the results of technological advances in education. The e-module is capable of displaying pictures, videos, animations, and practicums virtually, so that it can explain abstract physics material. Maximum use of technology is also needed a learning model. The learning model of Hybrid Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a combination of lecture methods and problem based learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the need for teaching materials in schools. This research uses a descriptive method. The data were collected using a questionnaire with 14 physics teachers as respondents spread across several regions in Indonesia and 36 respondents from class XI students of a high school in Sragen. Based on the results of the questionnaire, we can conclude that teachers need an e-module based on the Hybrid-PBL model to improve critical thinking skills and students are also interested in learning to use e-module physics based on the Hybrid-PBL model.
