Identification of physics problem-solving skills on senior high school students: An evaluation of e-learning during Covid-19 pandemic in Tuban a) Departemen Pendidikan Fisika, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Indonesia Abstract This research aims to evaluate and identify the achievement of physics problem-solving skills of senior high school students on work and energy topics in distance learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The quantitative research method used was pre-experiment with a one-shot case study design. The research subjects were determined using the cluster sampling technique. The participants was 246 students of tenth-grade from three schools in different locations Tuban East Java Indonesia, namely in the city, middle, and suburb. The research instrument used seven essay questions and a questionnaire for teachers. The results of the research were analyzed by using descriptive quantitative. The Kruskal Wallis test showed that the mean of three schools differed significantly by 0.02<0.05. Physics problem-solving skills based on the indicators are found as follows: (1)useful description is 55.5%, (2) physics approach is 39.4%, (3) specific application of physics is 47%, (4) mathematical procedures is 38.3%, and (5)logical progression is 39.6%. In general, the students^ physics problem-solving skills is classified as moderate. The fact of these findings suggests that students still have difficulty in connecting concepts, mathematical procedures, and logical and consistent reasons. It is necessary to develop e-modules by integrating inquiry approach to train physics problem-solving skills.
