Validity analysis of realistic learning design based on didactical tetrahedron model Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Abstract This report is a part of design research study conducted using Plomp^s model that consists of three phases: 1) preliminary research, 2) development or prototyping phase, and 3) assessment phase. Based on the results of preliminary research, it was found that students had difficulties in solving problems about functions. The difficulties need to be overcome by the efforts of the teacher in planning, implementing, and evaluating the learning process. The success of learning is closely related to the design of the learning materials being developed. The study aims to determine the validity aspects of developed learning materials of function based on realistic mathematics education theory and didactical tetrahedron model. The validity assessment of learning materials is carried out by expert reviews. The instrument used was a validity questionnaire filled out by experts, then analyzed using Q-Cochran formula. The result of the validation showed that the developed learning materials were in valid criterion. It means that the learning materials is suitable for use in limited scope of mathematics learning.
