Development of Student Book Uses the ALLR (Activity Based-Lesson Learn-Reflection) Model to improving Science Process Skills and Characters Education for Science Teacher Candidates 1.Science Education Study Program , STKIP Weetebula, Jl. Pantai Mananga Aba, Karuni, Loura, Southwest Sumba, Indonesia Abstract Learning science in schools, both primary and secondary schools, has the aim of improving work and thinking skills systematically in accordance with scientific procedures (Trianto, 2010). Skills in working and thinking systematically are closely related to science process skills. Science learning should also emphasize strengthening scientific attitudes in every problem-solving process that occurs. The scientific attitudes that learners must have include being skeptical, critical, objective, honest, open, and cooperative. The ALLR model is a learning model that emphasizes science learning through observing natural phenomena and emphasizes strengthening tolerance and social justice through taking meaning to be able to interpret the moral messages implied in science material content. So the objectives of this study are 1) to develop student books using the ALLR (Activity Based-Lesson Learn-Reflection) model 2) to see the effectiveness of using student books to improve science process skills and character education of science teacher candidates. This research is a research development (Research and Development) where the research data will be analyzed qualitatively by describe the results of the observations of the planning process, the implementation until the results obtained from the results of its implementation. This study produces a handbook for students that can be used in learning process of basic biology 1. The use of this ALLR handbook can improve science process skills, foster and strengthen character education for candidates of science teacher.
