Utilization of Ecoenzymes for Purification of Contaminated Pond Water: Development of Mini Research-Based Practicum Materials Prodi Pendidikan Pasca Biologi, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Abstract The impact of domestic waste can contribute to greenhouse gases. Ecoenzymes (EE) are complex organic solutions fermented from organic waste, sugar and water which are environmentally friendly. Making EE has a double advantage because in addition to reducing waste, it can be applied to water management. Therefore, a study was conducted with the aim of knowing the optimum EE concentration in the purification of pond water contaminated with domestic waste. This research is a type of experimental research (true experimental) with a qualitative research approach. Water samples were tested with various EE concentrations from 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25% with three repetitions each. The pH value reaches 6-8. The results of organoleptic observations on the water color of the sample after 3 days showed that, using 25% EE, the water color changed from green to yellowish. So it can be concluded that, the optimum condition for using EE for purifying polluted pool water is 25% or more. These results will be implemented in a mini research-based take home experiment in biology subjects in class X high school on environmental change and environmental preservation with the theme of water purification using EE. Keywords: Eco-enzyme- water purification- take home experiment instruction-mini research. Topic: Biology Education |
