AN INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA OF HPLC: ENHANCING STUDENT ANALYTICAL THINKING SKILLS Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Abstract An Interactive Multimedia of HPLC was developed as an alternative media to assist for understanding concepts and enhance students analytical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to see learning outcomes, the results of analytical thinking skills, and student perceptions in HPLC Practicum using Interactive Multimedia assisted by HPLC simulators. The research method is Quasi-experiment, One group pre-test, and post-test design. The instruments in this study were test and non-test instruments in the form of student satisfaction questionnaires and observation of learning outcomes. The results showed that the use of interactive multimedia HPLC with the help of the HPLC simulator improved student learning outcomes with an average N-gain of 0.44 (moderate), and the students^ analytical thinking skills increased as follows, matching (90%), classifying (86%), analyzing error (80%), generalizing (76%), and specifying (83%). Meanwhile, the results of the student perception questionnaire showed that student satisfaction with the use of MMI HPLC was 86%, the meaningfulness of the material was 88%, and the suitability of the media to the student^s condition was 90%. The limitations of learning methods during the Covid-19 Pandemic made MMI HPLC an alternative learning that attracts student interest and motivation because in addition to containing material and videos, it is also equipped with practice questions that can immediately determine the results. To see the effectiveness of media use more broadly, implementation can be carried out in other universities.
