Soekarno Hatta, Cimincrang, Gedebage, Bandung 406294, Indonesia Abstract The Covid-19 outbreak makes a massive impact on education, in particular the ineffective learning process, with some students having learning obstacles. This study aims to analyze the learning obstacle experienced by madrasah ibtidaiyah students in solving math story problems on numbers material during the Covid-19 outbreak. The research used a descriptive qualitative method. The data were taken from 19 fourth-grade students at one of the madrasah ibtidaiyah in Bandung district through tests and interviews. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed it was found that students^ learning obstacle was in the form of the ontogenic obstacle, didactical obstacle, and epistemological obstacle. In the ontogenic obstacle, it was found that some students did not get concept of summing fractions that were considered. The didactical obstacle that occurs in students due to learning during the outbreak was held alternately online and offline, online learning was held through the WhatsApp group which was less effective, and no learning design combined online and offline methods effectively. The epistemological obstacle experienced by students is when the teacher gave questions in a different context from the examples, it happened due to the limited time of mathematics lessons during the outbreak.
