Abstract

This study aims to know how students make decisions in answering science reasoning questions of TIMSS. This research is a quantitative descriptive study conducted with 178 students of 8th grade junior high school in Bandung. Samples were selected through stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used are TIMSS questions of the cognitive domain of reasoning. The results show that the tendency of students in making decisions when answering questions. Students tend to use intuition and rational categories.
