Abstract

The Corona Virus Disease-2019 (Covid-19) has attacked massively in all countries of the world including Indonesia, while biology teacher candidates are one of the subjects that have the opportunity to break off the chain for spreading Covid-19.Therefore, it is necessary to know the relationship between health literacy and outcomes of cognitive biology teacher candidates as an effort to determine the covid-19 eye-breaking strategy. The research objective was to determine the relationship between health literacy and cognitive outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used was a randomly selected sample of 45 biology teacher candidates in Lebak Regency. Using data using the Quesioner Health Literacy Scale (HLS-Eu-Q16), interviews and written tests. Data analysis using the product-moment. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive relationship between health literacy and cognitive outcomes of biology teacher candidates during the Covid-19 pandemic of r count = 0.079> r table = 0.05.
