Analysis of ^Jakarta, The Next Atlantis^ as Socio-Scientific Issue to Implement the Value of ESD based on Junior High School Science Curriculum a. Dr. Setiabudhi 229, Bandung 40154, Indonesia Abstract Socio-scientific issue have been proven to be fruitful in teaching science in classroom for a various aspects. ^Jakarta, The Next Atlantis^ is the issue of the land subsidence of Jakarta that many expert predicted to be partially submersed at 2050. Land subsidence is an issue that have substantial science-related concept in junior high school curriculum. Furthermore, there are plenty of value in the context of ESD. This study used content analysis method to explore the potential of science concept and value of ESD in the literature. This study showed that there are eight basic competence with more than 20 sub-topic that related to the socio-scientific issue. Moreover, the issue can cover five SDGs (goal number 3, 6, 10, 12, 15) and able to stimulate all ESD key competencies into the learning. It is believed that according to this study, this issue is very potential to be implemented and integrated into learning science in the secondary level classroom.
