PROPOSED LAYOUT DESIGN FOR WIRING HARNESS FACILITIES USING SYSTEMATIC LAYOUT PLANNING METHOD Industrial Engineering STT Wastukancana Abstract This study aims to propose a facility layout design in the Making of Wiring Harness. This is investigated based on the background of the problem of the layout of facilities that are not consistent with the production process, the distance between operators is not adequate, the room temperature is always hot resulting in work fatigue and the work productivity of employees becomes ineffective and efficient. The method used in this study is Systematic Layout Planning, namely the arrangement of the workplace with a workplace area that has an ergonomic distance from each other to create a comfortable work environment (Muther, 1984). The result of this research is that the wiring harness manufacturer uses seven production facilities with two line layout facilities for each work area, namely Housing, Assembly, Checker, Tieback, Insulock, Visual and Freedel.
