ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS^ THINKING LEVEL IN ONLINE LEARNING ON ENERGY SUBJECT

Abstract

Online learning has giving an impact on students^ ability to think. This study aims to obtain information about the achievement of students^ thinking levels in online learning on energy subjects. This study is a descriptive study involving 41 junior high school students. The learning is held two times, the first meeting used zoom meeting which discussed about energy sources and the second meeting used a whatsapp group which discussed about energy changes. The instrument used in this study is a level of thinking question consisting of multiple choice questions and essays. The thinking levels measured in this study are: level 1 (retrieval), level 2 (comprehension), level 3 (analysis), level 4 (knowledge utilization), level 5 (metacognition) and level 6 (self system). The results showed that students were able to reach level 3 (analysis). About 71% of students were able to reach level 3 (analysis).
