Using Teaching Simulator to Enhance Teacher Education Students Understanding of Learning Models a) Computer Science Education Department, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Abstract Using the right learning model in the education process, both of students^ learning outcomes and the learning goals can be improved. However, when the teacher wrongly plans the learning process at the stages of the learning model to be implemented, then the intended goals of the learning model itself will not be achieved. This study is aimed to enhance teacher education students^ understanding of learning models using simulated virtual teaching. A total of 30 respondents were asked to simulate learning activities in a game teaching until they managed to get an average teaching value above 80 or 10 times doing a learning simulation. A qualitative method was approached to measure their understanding of the learning model. The score board results showed that more than 75% of the students understand what they have to do in most stages of the discovery learning and problem based learning models after they do the simulation up to 5-8 times. In conclusion, using a teaching simulator as training media, students become familiar with the stages of the learning model and understand what they have to do at those stages.
