Development Of Education Towards Society 5.0

Abstract

Technological advances with the industrial revolution 4.0 must be accompanied by the development of society. The development of Society 5.0 to create a society that can withstand social challenges with the progress of the industrial revolution 4.0 as is being done by developed countries with its strategy to develop human resources so it can hold control in the future. Related to this, Indonesia must prepare a young generation that can compete in society 5.0. The young generation who can compete with qualified abilities in all fields, especially in technology and science based on numeracy literacy skills. Unfortunately, Indonesia^s ranking which is still far behind in the PISA shows that the ability of numeracy literacy of Indonesian society is relatively low to encourage changes in the education system. Through a minimum competency assessment that tests the level of numeracy literacy, it is expected to improve the quality of Indonesian education through education. Literacy and numeracy skills are expected to make Indonesian people able to think critically, creatively and can compete globally because the world^s information that already exists in BIG data must be able to be used, studied and criticized with the ability of science and technology needed in the future.
