Assessing Students Mathematical Creativity in Learning with STEM Contexts on Practical Problems of Derivative Applications a) Department of Mathematics, Universitas Mataram Abstract Providing opportunities by freeing students to explore learning mathematics is an implementation of creativity. To keep mathematical creativity skills honed, there needs to be a transformation in terms of learning by using an interdisciplinary approach to studying various mathematical concepts with the application of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) principles. This study aims to develop mathematical creativity with STEM approaches to practical problems of derivative applications. The research method used in this research is descriptive. This study uses a qualitative approach with stages covering problem formulation, sample selection, research limitations, instrumentation, data collection and analysis, and conclusion. The subjects of this study were students of Mathematics Education Class 6B with a sampling technique that was simple random sampling. Analyzed students mathematical creativity using tests, while creative activities were assessed using observation guidelines containing 3 aspects: fluency, flexibility, and novelty. The results of this study indicate that learning with the STEM approach can increase students mathematical creativity in solving practical problems of derivative applications. This shows that the STEM approach can equip students to be creative and resilient in dealing with various problems and changes that occur in the future.
