Abstract

This study aims at measuring the development of research on Mathematics Education through bibliometric analysis using VosViewer. The investigation began in May 2021 with a search on Mathematics Education in the Science Direct database using the keywords ^open access^ and ^Mathematics Education^. The search result data were saved in the form of a Research Information System. They were analyzed using VosViewer to determine the topic^s developments from year to year, the type of document widely published, the author who discussed the topic the most, the institution publishers, and the topics that appeared most frequently in thousands of journal articles. Based on the study^s findings, a map of the development of research on Mathematics Education has existed since 1998 and is constantly increasing from year to year. As many as 4174 articles were published in Procedia Social and Behavioral Sciences with the publishing name Procedia Computer Science on this topic. Meanwhile, the author^s name who published the most on this topic was Tirmizi, Rohani Ahmad, which could also be found in the Science Direct database, which was accessible until October 14, 2021. The model appeared as the most prominent topic. Network and density visualization indicated a link between topics in each area.
