Abstract

The background of this research is to obtain an Edmodo-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) application model. This study aims to determine the Edmodo-based STEM application through the validation results and to determine the response of educators and students to Edmodo-based STEM applications. This research is a development research using the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research subjects involved were experts (material experts, media experts and IT experts), educators, and students of class XI SMA/MA. The instruments used in the research were questionnaires and questions about the immune system. The research data were analyzed with qualitative descriptive statistical analysis techniques and quantitative descriptive statistical analysis. The results obtained are Edmodo-based STEM applications based on a very decent assessment, with validation by media experts 87.5%, material experts 92.5% and IT experts 86%. Educators and students gave a positive response to the attractiveness of Edmodo-based STEM applications as learning media, with the proportion of responses from educators being 92.5% and students 86.97%. Based on the results of the study, the Edmodo-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) application model on the immune system material was declared very good and received a positive response to be used as a learning medium.
