Abstract

Students mental models are important to be analyzed. Mental models can describe students knowledge and diagnose students learning difficulties. This study aims to analyze students mental models on work and energy concept in the post-pandemic covid-19 situation. Students mental models were measured by four-tier test instrument and analyzed using the wright map. The research study uses descriptive quantitative research method. The participant of this study are 31 K-10 students (10 boys, 21 girls) at high school in West Java. The analysis shows that 60,2% students^ had a synthesis mental model, only less students that had a scientific mental model is 12,0 % and 27,8% is initial mental model. It could be concluded that physics learning to form students^ mental models needs to be improvised.
