Analysis of scientific literacy skills of junior high school students using the framework program for international student assessment (PISA) on the topic of global warming in the city of Meulaboh UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Abstract This study aims to measure students^ scientific literacy skills in cognitive aspects and competencies in the global warming phenomenon. The method used to obtain the data is a mixed method sequential explanatory design using a test instrument with the Program for international student assessment (PISA) framework and interviews. The sample of this study was 60 students from public junior high schools in the city of Meulaboh. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted using descriptive-quantitative then conclusions were drawn. The results of this study indicate that the average achievement of students^ scientific literacy skills in the cognitive aspect shows a higher score than the competence aspect. So it can be concluded that students are less able to apply the theories they have compared to remembering these theories.
