AT A GLIMPSE OF PERCEPTIONS: PROSPECTIVE SCIENCE TEACHERS IN THE CONSERVATION EDUCATIONAL STUDY Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Abstract This study aims to analyze the educational content of Conservation Education course at the University Bengkulu. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, involving 73 students as respondents to identify and analyze the proposed research instrument. Data were collected through questionnaires (electronic) and interviews with course lecturers. The results showed that 68% of respondents mentioning their study were performed in the form of lectures, presentations, and discussions. A total of 67% of respondents also said that the learning materials were taken from journal articles and lecturers^ Power Point (PPT). As of 76.7% of respondents considered it necessary to add community-based conservation material (Citizen science) in the lecture. Moreover, with respect to the indicators of input measured by 8 question items, indicated that 78.6% of the inputs were still in the good category. Meanwhile, the process and the outputs were measured using 4 items indicating a response of 77% and 75% respectively. The process and output responses were still in the good category. This finding also stated that 40% and 45% of respondents strongly agree that biodiversity literacy and environmental literacy are the important things to be known and managed by the prospective students of science teacher at the university Bengkulu.
